Turner is not the guy I want. I definatly want Wade. And i still dont buy into the hype that he is the leading candidate. Sounds like ESPN spin to me. ESPN"S leading candidates never seem to get the job anyways

But with Norv their are +/-'s

On the plus side
- he is back in footballs good graces as a QB developer after failed attempts with Shuler and Tiosupo (SP)

-If they are high on Garret as a future HC, it's logical to have an offensive minded HC to groom him

- IMO good thing A#1 He may bring MIKE SINGLTARY with him to run the D. Mike Nolan refused to promote him to DC in SF, so this leads me to believe that he could be had.

Bad

- His HC record speaks for itself
- Did the 92/93 Cowboys make him look good
- Wade Phillips + Our D= instant improvemnt, and could be a dominate unit
- From what I have heard, the Raiders basicly quit on him, I dont care if its the Raiders, to be that is a HUGE black flag. And Jerry needs to get a complete understanding of that situation before proceeding.

Norv isnt my choice, but i do think he can have success he.Whats you take

Compared to what happened after him though, that might not be saying much, at least he was getting something out of those guys.

I wouldnt kill myself if Turner was hired. I think we can win with him. But the Raider thing is in the back of my head. I dont care who the team was, I cant be 100% comfortable with a guy that had a team give up on him.

If its a guy to groom Garrett, I can see that. But I wont be sold on Turner until its after week 17 and were are on top of the division. I think we get that with Phillips.

Since Singletary has the Assistant Head Coach title how can the Cowboys hire him for anything less than the Head Coach position.

well it does look as though Norv will be the next head coach...look for an anouncement within the next few days

no one in the Dallas media doubts that he is a great offensive mind but we all doubt if he can in fact be a great HC...

I think he had it unfair in Washington myself and no one should use that to judge him...or his job in Oakland.

He is also great freinds with Garrett and those two should get along great...

as far as Singletary goes I have not heard anything about him and I don't see why anyone would be so eager to get him in here...he really has not done anything to prove he will be a great coach in this league and any thing to suggest that he will be great is pure speculation...

Agreed. ...Norv turner IMO isnt a great coach especially on offense.He could do better as an assistant coach or something in that category.
