Default Cowboys inquire about Joey Porter

From ESPN Insider

Quote:
Porter's agent told the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review that the Cowboys and Ravens are the latest teams to inquire about his client.

Other teams interested: Dolphins, Bengals, Browns and Giants

The veteran linebacker would reportedly like to top the $5 million salary he was to receive this season from the Steelers.
Interesting.

it would be funny to see him go to the bengals porter and ocho cinco on the same team after all the trash talk between them i wonder if porter would talk trash to the steelers if he became a bengal

If we could some how manage to bring in Porter and bring back Columbo I'll be really content going into the draft

I woder what this says about the Health of Ellis? He is getting older and got hurt late in the season so he might not be ready for week 1. I had like Peek from the Texans or even Banta-Cain from the Pats. Porter would be a nice fit. Think a nickle package could be

DE: Hatcher
NG: Ratliff
DE: Ellis
OLB: Porter
ILB: Carpenter
ILB: Burnett
OLB: Ware

Those players plus Wades blitzs would be a hard thing to stop.

You gotta remeber, Ellis tore his achilles. Takeo Spikes had the same injury, and is younger than Ellis, and hasnt been the same.
