Default Who will be the FS for Dallas in 06

This was a position of weakness for us last year, and still remains a ?. But while their will be no Chris Hope, or Donte Witner playing opposite Roy Williams, there are some interesting candidates. Out of Marcus Coleman, Keith Davis, Pat Watkins, or Justin Beriault who has the best chance at solidifying that position in 06

Pat Watkins is the most talented, but I think Davis or Coleman will probably start, maybe Watkins can play his way in before the end of the year.

I like Justin Beriault. The guy was an animal in preseason and he's physically superior to what he was last year at this time.

I really wanrt to see how Watkins and Beriault play this preseason. Coleman and Davis are known "comodities". The best you could get out of those two is average to solid

I think they will go with Coleman because of his experience.

Coleman will be used as a swing guy at CB and S while he more than likely will not start he will be the 5th CB and the 4th S. This would cut down on the number of DBs needed on game day. The spot is Davis' to loose. Watkins has the skills to unset him but is only a rookie. Beriault has been getting most of his time as the back up to Roy. He has gotten some time at FS and has done well but I get the feeling that he would only be there in an emegency.

Before everyone gets downs on Davis last year was only his second year back after getting shot in the hip, and the first time he was starting and playing safety full time since college. He has the tools to get better this camp will go a long way in seeing what type of starter he can be.

Coleman is terrible, but BP likes to use the guys who fit the scheme the best, and they like FS who can cover so it will probably be Coleman for a few games, then Watkins will play when they realize Coleman is God awful.
