Jones still the starter
http://www.sportingnews.com/nfl/team...oys/index.html
excerpt:
PERSONNEL ANALYSIS: RB Julius Jones says he's keeping his goals to himself this year after making it known that he wanted 20 touchdowns and 1,700 yards in 2005. He will be the starter and primary ball-carrier, but the Cowboys like backup RB Marion Barber and he will get an opportunity to carry the ball on a regular basis. Coach Bill Parcells likes to have a two-back system and he's going to use both. Jones said his big goal this year is to play 16 games, something that has eluded him in his first two professional seasons.

Jones' goals better be play all 16 games and hold off Barber. He don't need to worry about stats. Sounds like a self- centered player.

I love our running back set... I think we could end up having one of the best rushing attacks in the league next year if we stay injury free...

I agree chris, but I woulndt be surprised if Barber thats the lion's share of carries by midseason, not that I dont like Jones, its just that Barber is more a "Parscels back"

they need the oline to play a lot better this year to have a successful running game, I don't care if they have 6 TE's, fonotti, rivera, everyone needs to play better.

I agree with you Professor... I think our offensive line will do better... We have some players returning from injurys and more expeirence for the young ones that started last year... As for what Manster said... I could agree... Even though I think Julius Jones is a better back I could agree that Barber could end up getting more carries than JJ this season... You are right about how he is more of a "Parcells running back"... Either way I still think we have a awsome running back set and I am confident that they will get the job done this year...

If Jones stays healthy this year, I see him putting up big numbers. Barber may take a few balls away from him, but not enough to keep him away from 1,000+ yards and 10-12 TD's.
