Default Cowboys Sticking With Experience At QB

excerpt:

It's the word probably used more than any other during training camp. It's what coaches and players are striving for in just about everything, from the schedules to the actual practice performances.

And consistency is also wanted in personnel.

Needless to say, the Cowboys haven't exactly had a consistent force at the quarterback position in recent years.

Not since Troy Aikman in 1999 and 2000 has one Cowboys quarterback started the majority of games in two consecutive regular seasons.

After Quincy Carter in 2001, then Chad Hutchinson in 2002, followed by another year from Carter and then Vinny Testaverde in 2004, the Cowboys were hoping for some consistency when they signed Drew Bledsoe last season.

the cowboys wont win the super bowl in the next few years, owens will get them into the playoffs this year and in a year or 2 he will go off again. the boys should let henson start, if he dose well you got yourself a qb for 5-7 years. If he sucks you lose some games and a season that you werent going to win it all in anyway.

Everyone says Bledsoe is such a horrible QB, but look at the difference he made for Dallas last year. Bledsoe was close to having a ProBowl year. He isnt perfect by any means, yes he is immoble, and he fumbled alot last year (by the way in 14 years in the league he fumbled 10+ times only 4 seasons),IMO Bledsoe isnt the problem the line is the problem, and If Flozel comes back 100% and stays that way, the pass protection will be better than people think now that the human turnstile that are Pettite and Tucker (I cant believe someone actually signed him) wont be starting

Yes that has happened, but not quite a "history"

The NFC QB's arent the greatest bunch, hell Vick made it. After Hasselbeck, and Delholme their was no real standout
