The radio heads in my town are saying that the Cowboys and the Saints are in the first part of talks to get the teams to play a preseason game here in Shreveport, LA. The money would go to help the the people of the state after Katrina snf Rita.

Yes but this is a strange part of Louisisana here in the North West. There are more Cowboys fans here than Saints. The Saints are more vocal, and most of the sports reporters, TV, radio, and news paper are self proclaimed Cowboy Haters. There was a scrimage here a few years back and Cowboys fans made up about 75% of the people at the game. Something that did not sit well with Benson. Before the game he had talked about doing it every year after the game he said it was just a one year deal and turned down the Cowboys offers to do it again. The next offseason he opened an office here in Shreveport and gave some good deals to local fans just trying to build a fan base up here.

Yes it was. If they do have a game here we will be able to see just how much it has changed anything. I would bet there would be more Saints fans here than last time but that has alot to do with we still have a large amount of people from NO living up here still.

It's actually good to see them doing something positive for the people there, it would get a bit more money if it was regular season or in Mexico but this is still good for them.

The game will be Aug. 21 at 7PM. That is a Monday night game and it will be carried on ESPN. It is the first NFL game in Shreveport in my lifetime.

There are Cowboys fans all over the map....And I'll tell you why. Most people who like the Cowboys like them because they were good. From where I am from, we call that BANDWAGON!!!!!!!!!! Or if you prefer, FRONTRUNNER'S!!!!!! You Cowboy fans make me sick.
