So then you are saying that he is faking the severity of the injury.
Yeah... that wouldn't piss off Parcells. Or the other teammates that are putting in the hours in practice and risking their season in preseason action.

I'm saying Parcells and TO are media players. TO is getting the attention while in a round about way saying he still walks to the beat of his own drum while Parcells looks like the hard nosed, take no **** coach by holding him out of preseason games (notice he never really says how severe or if he knows TO has an injury) then the week of the opening game roles around and the media flocks to Dallas to report if TO is practicing and if he will play. TO says he will, Bill says he's not sure and wham Sunday arrives. TO goes out and performs and were left with 12 articles 6 of which say TO played Parcells by playing out the injury situation in the preseason and 6 saying Parcells held his ground until TO practiced a full week leaving everyone to continue guessing ho wlong it will be before the drama really begins.
It's a great game and so far everyone is taking the bait and playing along.
Do you really think when TO goes out makes plays on Sundays one player on this team is going to give a **** how much he practiced in August? All they are going to care about is how many TD's, 1st downs or yards he gets on game day. You could create a list a mile long of NFL vets who find a way to barely get their practice jerseys dirty during camp yet go on to play productive seasons only to have it be a non issue until next camp.

Entertainment for men that don't want to admit they like soap operas...That's all I see this stuff as.
I do admit that I too am guilty watching these situations very closely...waiting for the next big blow-up or whatever. dammit

Excuse me???
Do I think that the #3 or #4 WR, who are busting their *** to make a roster spot, or any other veteran who has to show up everyday, cares about TO taking days off, doing a little stretching, maybe ride on the bike a little bit, while they are sweating, getting drilled by the coaches, and wearing themselves out every day to prepare for the season?
Yes, I do.
This isn't some seasoned vet who has earned his spot on the Cowboys.
We'll agree to disagree that his teammates don't care that they have to work their *** off while TO is vacationing.

Though I do agree that TO doesn't need these reps, he should still be trying to build a relationship with his QB. From what we've seen, TO hasn't changed one bit, and might be even worse... who knows. When I heard on the news what he told the media, I was just like.... what a ****ing idiot.

Owens missed 15 of 27 training camp workouts in Oxnard, Calif., and the first two exhibition games before the Cowboys resumed practice at home Wednesday.[/b]
|
And after this, he said he did too much this training camp? WTF? Hopefully Jacksonville's secondary can frustrate him.... so he can blow up. He won't make as much an impact to Dallas as he did in Philly because TO hasn't laid his mark yet... and that won't happen until he leads them to the playoffs and a superbowl appearance. I also beleive PArcells won't take that ****.

Listening to his interview yesterday, I don't think there is any other interview that includes the words 'I' and 'Me' so many times. He hasn't changed what so ever... he still thinks he's better than the franchise and the coach.

Parcells and TO are playing the media. He is secretly practicing, and is in perfect sync with Bledsoe and the rest of the team. There are no issues, and TO is a completely changed person. The Cowboys are fooling you.

effing right. you and i said the same thing in another thread sdogo, parcells only cares about what TO is doing when the bullets fly. like i said in that same thread, steve smith and hines ward both will not play in the pre-season and nobody is freaking out in carolina or pittsburgh. TO is a 10 year vet, he was a warrior in the super bowl a few years back, coming back from a gruesome looking leg injury.
does anyone know how many pre-season carries ladanian tomlinson has in his nfl career?
