yeah. his failure to adjust for steve smith 2 years ago and the short dumpoffs in the last super bowl are pretty bad signs if you ask me. [/b]

What's funny is when the defense is playing great it's Lovie Smith who's the mastermind but when it's playing bad it's Rivera who's the scape goat.

If you get Rivera DLineman who can bring pressure, he can make the only weakness in your defense the threat of injuries. People forget until Mike Brown got hurt the Bears were the best defense in the league, and still might have been if not for Harris' injury.

The Cowboys would be stupid not to hire him as a HC.

True.

To be honest I heard a debate on a radio show in Chicago, whether the Bears lack of blitzing is Riveria's call or Lovie's.

When the Bears have pressure fromt he front 4 it is a moot point.

WHen the Bears do blitz though, they are some of the worst packages I have ever seen. I belive Riveria draws thoughs up. It is very predictable:

1) Briggs up the middle
2) Urlacher up the middle
3) RMJ from the side.

Who knows, he could be a lights out head coach, but I don't think he is some revoultionary defensive mind.

i think rivera would make a good HC. dallas has talent, they need a coach that can connect and get the best out of them, not just bring in a different scheme. rivera has an upside IMO, norv turner has already shown his not HC material.

When you have the best best front 4 in Football, the best 3rd down rusher in the game (and he was a rookie), and guys who can bring pressure (Tank Johnson) as a BACKUP at DT, you dont need to come with crazy blitzing schemes.

The suprise isnt supposed to be where they come from, teams never expect the Bears to blitz.
