When we get Ferge back an another true NT, our DE depth will look like, Spears/ Canty/ Ratliff/ Hatcher/ Tank/ Bowen

Do we need to traded someone?

Spears may have the best value, tho Canty and Ratliff are both RFA's. I dont see Ratliff going anywhere as he is Wade's snuggle bunny. IDK if Canty projects as a DT like Spears does

You might be on to something. I have had a feeling for a while now that at lest one of the DE will not be back here next year. I do disagree with how you have some of the players. First I am not sure that Ferguson will be back he is getting old and Ratliff has shown that he can play the spot. I think it will be Spears and Canty the starters with Bowen, and Hatcher being the backups. Tank will be at NG with either a young guy to take over in 2009 or Ratliff as the backup. If they do finally break down and draft a young NG then Ratliff will go back to DE and then it will be a process of do you keep 6 or 7 guys there and if it is decided to only keep six then who goes? Bowens is the most likely one to go but the coaches think he can become a good player and some one else hads more trade value then who knows.

Spears and Canty both look to be doing better and better this year. It'll be interesting to see how things play out.

I agree I think they both have started to play better. I do not know if it is just taking a little while to get use to the defense or if having Ellis out there opens things up since you are not having to cover for a rookie.

Ferg will be back. We really dont want to go into next year with Ratliff and Tank as our NT, as neither one really fits that. I think having a real NT on our roster young or old is a must. Alot of people say that in Wade's 3-4 you dont need a big NT, well this is the only time he hasnt had one, and its because the one he had went down.
