Cowboys FB Oliver Hoyte underwent an MRI today and it was determined he will not need to have surgery to heal a C-5 neck sprain.
Hoyte was injured against the Dolphins on Sept. 16, and missed the next six games. He returned despite the risk of re-injury, after nerve damage has left his right deltoid, biceps and rotator cuff weakened.
The MRI determined that that the nerve damage had not worsened in the nine games he played after coming back, making the surgery unnecessary
