Default Cowboy's Mock #4

I got an hour and a half to kill before work so.....

1A- HB Jonathan Stewart. He may havebeen available here prior to his surgery. In a strong class, I think the third back off the board will be available at 22. Comparable to Stephen Jackson, him and Barber would beat teams to death dow the field next year

1B- WR Devin Thomas. A riser at the WR position. He is a big WR that can stretch the field. I dont like him as much as Hardy, Kely, and Sweed, but I dont think he is very far a off them. he beats out Cason here

2- CB Brandon Flowers. A very good CB prospect that has some speed concerns, with a better 40 time he would have been a first round pick, but he falls here

3A(Aquired from Miami for TE Anthony Fasano)- NT Red Bryant. Bryant gives us our future and possible present NT. I think he is a late first early second type pick, but no one seems to agree with me. I'll gladly take him here in the early 3rd

3B OL Heath Benedict- One of the more gifted OL prospects isnt ready enough to play Tackle in a very strong Tackle class, and Guard doesnt have a high value, so Dallas gets a steal here in Koiser's eventual replacement

4-LB Shawn Crable- The rich get richer at LB. Crable can be groomed to be our starting ILB. Will help ST's his rookie year

5--CB Jack Ikegwuonu- Alot of people think he will be there in the 7th. He wont. Too many teams are gonna be looking to add a day 1 CB in the late rounds for him to go that low. Dallas would be willing to pick him here as chhances are they are gonna be cutting some rookies and can afford to stick one right on IR

6 HB- Anthony Alridge- Alridge gives us a lightning fast scat back to go with Barber/Stewart, a guy who can play slot, and a dngerous returner

7- Cody Wallace- Dallas needs a backup center, Wallace is in the back of the room raising his hand whispering "I play Center"

I think that Stewart could be there at #28.

Thomas is rising but I think that it would be more likely to get him in the second round than it would be Flowers.

Benedict is good but more than likely will go late 2nd or early 3rd.

You feeled the main needs but with the loss of both Davis and H. Jones and the fact that Hamlin might not be around after '08 then some more help at safety might be in order.

I thought that Dallas would sign someone that was a june 1st cut to be the back up to MB3 that way we would not have two rookies back there. Buth with Dunn a Bucc again I just do not see anyone else out there. I do not want SA. The onlly other I could think of is Ryan Moats who I do not think will last in philly this year.

I don't see Crable lasting til round 4, or Flowers lasting til the end of round 2, but if they did, good picks.

I dont like stewart has a pick anywhere. he has a bum leg already, who knows how he will recover being he has never had this bad of an injury. i'm likeing felix jones he has everything we need in a change of pace back. also he may even last till out 2nd rd pick.
