"No, the Cowboys officially released La'Roi Glover Thursday and placed linebacker Dat Nguyen on the reserved/retired list to avoid a pair of roster bonuses due on Friday that just made economic sense. This also would seem to mean the Cowboys are set to pay the $500,000 roster bonus owed Greg Ellis on Friday, keeping the defensive end around for his ninth season as Cowboys owner Jerry Jones promised."

"These moves, along with the impending adjustments to the contracts of Marco Rivera and Ferguson, will give the Cowboys plenty of cap space to play with in free agency, and possibly to re-sign a couple of their own players.
Pro Bowl guard Larry Allen is due a $2 million roster bonus April 1 and wide receiver Keyshawn Johnson a $1 million roster bonus March 15. But by then, the Cowboys should be knee-deep into free agency.
At least, the NFL hopes so."

I'm still surprised about Glover and he's the kind of pass rushing DT the Eagles need but given his age he would have to come cheap and that's not likely.

Dat Nguyen has played for almost a decade with Dallas. That is a long time in the NFL. He may still play somewhere else, but I get the impression that his career in Dallas is pretty much over.

yeah i guess he has been playing for awhile, i thought he had only been pro for like five years.

I know, maybe getting older makes time go by faster. I seriously didn't think he played that long. He has been an impact player for dallas. |

Nguyan broke his neck, thats why he is retiring, if he could play dallas wouldnt cut him.

well that changes everything. I though he was retireing because he was getting to old, i had no idea he broke his neck.
