For many Broncos such as Rod Smith, Javon Walker and Nick Ferguson, Monday was just another workday spent in the team's weight room.
For others, especially those sitting in the chairs lining the hallway outside coach Mike Shanahan's office, Monday was the bearer of bad news as the Broncos began making roster cuts early in the afternoon.
"I don't know, I don't know the feeling," Broncos linebacker Al Wilson said. "The only thing that's different is you get used to seeing these guys every day and one day they're all gone.
"And that's tough, that's tough, because you've made a bond, you've made a friendship, but you understand that's part of the business . . . but it's sudden, man."
