Broncos' top tailback top secret for opener

Broncos coach Mike Shanahan won't announce his starter at tailback until Week 2.

Mike Bell, Tatum Bell and Cedric Cobbs have been lined up behind a shroud of secrecy.

Presumably the trio assembled in that order, but in no way were any Broncos, from coach Mike Shanahan to each running back, confirming their exact placement.

"For this game, I won't give away which back will start for tactical reasons," Shanahan said. "Now after this game, it'll be different."

Will it matter who starts in this running back factory? If Emmitt Smith had went to pasture in Denver he could have retired a year early. Rumor is Drew Rosenhaus could get a 1000 yds a season in Denvers system.
