Post Denver cuts three starters

the Broncos have cut Mike Anderson, Trevor Pryce and Jeb Putzier to make cap space. Anderson was their leading rusher and Pryce was one of the more popular players on the team. This really hurts a promising team. Free agency starts Friday and hopefully they can fill the holes made by the cuts.

Why Anderson? He had a really great year, you'd think they could free up cap space with someone else like Lelie..

If it wasn't for that drug cloud over Ricky Williams, I'd say this meant that the Broncos were going to go for him. I don't see them putting their running game all on Bell's shoulder's. Anderson was the surpise cut for me too considering the year he had. He'll find a job with no problem. Pryce was also a crazy cut. For a team that was knocking on the door to the Super Bowl last season, they're making some strange moves.

Yeah but they had to do it, they saved 15 million off of the cap with these 3 moves and IMO they all can be replaced. Anderson was set to be a FA next year and is getting pretty old, they have Bell and 2 first round picks and also have picked a RB i think every year for about the last 5 so it will be something they address...

Wouldn't it be something to see them take them 2 picks and something and have Shanahan make a trade with good old buddy Kubiak and get Bush in Denver...that would be scary

On a side note this is great for my FFB keeper league where I drafted Bell and stashed him on my bench the whole year

with thier offensive system they should be able to find another RB that can rush as good/better than Anderson did this year.

keep in mind Bell was hurt last year and shared carries with Anderson and still almost got 1000 yards, he is good and if they don't get anyone else he should be able to pick up most of the slack.

Bell had a couple of nagging injuries but I think this is how Shanahan wanted to deal with him, kind of ease him into the role and Anderson helped that a lot the last couple of years.

He's a home run hitter and can really be fine there if he adds a couple of pounds he could be a monster there.

I don't get why Shanahan thinks that he can turn anyone into a good offensive back. Don't get me wrong Bell is awsome but he is no Mike Anderson.

so far Shanahan has turned nobodies into good backs, so why shouldn't he be able to do it with Bell?
