Yes but some of those guys on the list were FBs. While he did have Anderson and Rueben as FB also those were guys he was trying to convert to the postion. The other guys preformed their task as0 blockers.

some were FB's that is true, but my point was that just because shanny is keeping dayne around doesn't necessarily mean that they are annointed.

Cecil Sapp is a very good backup Fullback and special teams player. Hape could play three positions and I personally wish we still had him. Craver was a good Fullback. Howard Griffith was the best Fullback to ever wear a Bronco uniform. Derek Loville was a good backup to Terrell Davis. Lynn, Rivers and Detron Smith were all reliable backups. ..................Don't the Eagles have good backups, or isn't that the goal? Too bad the Eagles can't find good backs like the Broncos. Since 1995 we've had a Runningback go over 1000 yards except in 2001 when TD was trying to make a comeback and split carries with Anderson. TD had 700 and Anderson around 670.

i never said that they weren't good FB's or backups. I was just merely pointing out that shanny keeps guys that are not necessarily going to be the starters. that's all.

Yeah, that's true, Cecil Sapp is a backup but he's kept for Special teams too. He likes Depth. I know what you're saying, it's nice to have a quality guy like Ron Dayne if Bell goes down......................that is what you meant, right?

No, I just meant that dayne will be perpetually a backup, If the main guys go down, shanny will get another guy to play with dayne as dayne does not have the power or vision of an every down back.
These are some knocks on Dayne
He is a known bad practice player. He just doesn't get it going in practice, he has always been a gamer at wisconsin. He is big, but ran over small competition in college and is too slow to run to daylight. He will never handle the load and will show rare bursts through the line.

That was the OLD Ron Dayne. The Broncos have the new and improved Ron Dayne. Decent power, very good vision, although in a one cut system, he does well.

If you watched and talked BRONCO football 365 days a year, you would know. I don't pretend to know EVERYTHING about the Eagles. Sure, I could pull up some stats, like your Runningback NOT having 1000 yards...............Does that mean he sucked?

Hold on, so watching the Broncos 365 days a year has what to do with the 53 carries Dayne had? I can tell you...nothing . All this "new and improved" stuff is BS . He didn't just develop power and agility and all this other stuff because he went to Denver, Dayne is the same old Dayne and in Denver and he may even be worse then before because there he's the 3rd RB at least in NY he was a back up and short yardage guy.
As far as Ellis, I don't see him claiming to know this and that. Actually reading his posts and going back through yours he has at least supported his posts with facts. As opposed to just claiming to know then missing on who your starting DE is and how often RB's get hurt despite watching them as you put it 365 days a year...
