Terrell Owens: Interest May be Cool

Update: Broncos owner Pat Bowlen said Thursday his team's interest in signing Owens has been overestimated by the media, the Rocky Mountain News reports.

Recommendation: "It has been written about here, on the national level, talked about on ESPN and all the rest of it," Bowlen said. "It's taken on a life of it's own, so to speak. I think there is a [heck] of a lot more credibility given to that than there should be. I'm not saying we're not interested in T.O., but I think the level of interest attributed to us is way beyond where we are." Reports have also indicated that the Chiefs are only interested in signing Owens to a bare bones one-year deal. At this point, the market isn't as friendly as Owens and his agent Drew Rosenhaus expected, but the good news for owners is that Owens is less of a fantasy liability with a short-term, incentive laden deal.

if i were the Broncos i wouldn't get him, their team has good chemistry and i wouldn't bring in someone that could blow it up.

yea that's true and it was because of him that we were even in the game at the end. It was also because of him that we were in disarray last season

yeah, we were I was biginning to think that we had the perfect system and salary cap guy ever. Joe Banner is a cap genius. It's wierd how every suberbowl loser misses the playoffs the next year

I hope the Broncos don't sign TO. We have three guys that I'm looking for atleast one of them to improve over last year. David Terrell was inactive all season until the last game. Charlie Adams is not bad, but I'm hoping it's Todd Devoe that makes the big jump to the #3 Receiver. .................... But I also see Wesley Duke lining up at WR on occassions as well. Great hands and leaping ability.
