LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. -- The Lions will wait for the best offer possible as quarterback Joey Harrington's trip around the NFL continues.
Harrington began his tour Tuesday with a visit to Miami. From there, he went to Cincinnati. Both teams are looking for backup insurance.
Matt Millen said Wednesday he will give permission to any team wanting to talk to Harrington.
Denver, Seattle, Kansas City and Oakland also have been mentioned as having an interest in Harrington. An Oakland official said Wednesday that the Raiders no longer are interested.
Millen has not set a deadline for when to make a trade.
"We'll let it run its course with him taking his trips," Millen said. "Then we have the conversations with the clubs. It's a look-see for them, also. We just kind of let it run its course.
"We'll be as aggressive as we can be."
The only real deadline for the Lions to deal Harrington is June 15. If he is on the roster that day, he is guaranteed to be paid a $4 million bonus. If no trade is made before June 15, the Lions will release Harrington.
A more realistic deadline is April 29, the day of the draft.
"You'd like to do it as quick as possible," Millen said. "If it doesn't get done, you've just got to be patient."
