That is giving them a lot of credit. I am hopeful that you are right. I mean with a brand new coaching staff running a brand new gameplan, anything can happen any given sunday. I think this coaching staff needs to be kept for a long time to come, even if they dont produce immediate results. Millen loves to get new coaching staffs every 2-3 years which I think is hurting the team. They need to stick with one staff for awhile and see if they can get the lions to be respectable again. I believe Marinelli will bring a much more hard nosed gameplan and improve the defense. I also am exciting to see if Martz brings a far more aggresive offensive gameplan. Throwing downfield, which i think better suits our recievers, will open up the run game.. something this team sorely needs. They've been horrible the last few years because they knew the team wasnt going to beat them with the pass game so they stacked up against the run and blitzed aggresively.
Im looking forward to this lions squad to be a little less pretty, and little more gritty.
