Lions to forfeit two days of offseason program

ALLEN PARK, Mich. -- The Detroit Lions will forfeit two days of their offseason training program after settling a complaint by the NFL Players Association.

In a joint statement released Friday, Harold Henderson, NFL executive vice president for labor relations, and NFLPA executive director Gene Upshaw said the team broke rules pertaining to the scheduling of offseason activities.

Lions spokesman Matt Barnhart would not elaborate on the violation.

Players no longer will be required to attend previously scheduled workouts on Monday and Tuesday but will be paid for them. Offseason workouts will resume Thursday.

I actually heard that two players complained about the way the camp was being run. I like it actually, marinelli is actually pushing this soft mariucci team and making them work. Weeding out the lazy ones and finding out who is there to play.

How about that argument between marinelli and martz. I wonder what made him storm out on marinelli, supposedly he came back the next day and everything was fine. Do you have some inside info that I did not hear about?

Marinelli was asked about that and said that it did not happen and didnt know who made it up
