Firing Steve Mariucci was absolutely necessary to improve this team. Was it him out there losing game in and out on the field? No.

The lions have been injury prone for 3 or 4 years now.. I think mainly because of Mariucci.. he ran "No-contact" practices that was intended to keep everyone healthy. I believe that it achieved just the opposite. The soft practices didnt keep his team tough.. and not being conditioned to hit hard and take hits in practice day in and day out, IMO, caused most of the injuries because the team was soft.

I look forward to Marinelli toughening this team up.

i think Firing Mooch was a good move .. Millen should of gotten fired first but regardless Mariucci was just not the right man for the job and would of been fired too .. bringing in Marnelli is what this team needs .. they need to stop playing soft football and start playing the real game which is what Marnelli promises...
