Q: I wasn't going to ask about Mike Williams, but I read on your blog (Uh. I don't see it in Killer's blog. Maybe this blog?) that you weren't going to talk about him anymore after your show. What's the scoop?
A: I said I'd never talk about Mike Williams again because he's irrelevant. When you look at what is going on, Mike Williams has become irrelevant.
The Lions just signed DeVale Ellis off of the practice squad. They have two undrafted rookie free agents, Ellis and Shaun Bodiford, ahead of Mike Williams on the depth chart. It's over. The coaches don't want him, they won't play him.
If Mike Martz is here, he's not going to be here. He doesn't like him, he doesn't like how he fits into his system. It's over. It's not worth discussing.
You can feel bad for him because he never got a chance to do it on the field, but he'll have to do it somewhere else. They can't trade him because they'll take a $6 million cap hit.
