with Short injured and Emmons very prone to injury I guess we had to. I dont think it wouldve hurt to just sign Smith off the practice squad but gotta do what ya gotta do I guess.

I never knew the Rams released him, he was a good player when he was with the Vikings but he was inury prone though

the only thing I dont like is that he most likely cant contribute on special teams. What good is a backup if he cant contribute on special teams?
