Lets assume that the Lions beat the Vikings and the Chiefs (2 teams they have a better record than). This would give them an 8-8 record, which should be a 13-18 pick. What should we do in the 1st, 2nd rounds of the draft.
My Draft Board (In order of importance)
1. Darren McFadden- We won't have a high enough pick to get him with an 8-8 record but, the Lions would be in a spot where they could trade up to get him. Man this would solve our problem of not being able to run and he fits the Lions sytem very well (He can actually catch).
2. James Laurinatis- I watch him play almost every week and he is literally in on every tackle. Just think of him and Ernie Sims on the field at the same time.
3. Antoine Cason- We plain out need a lock-down corner and imo that is just what Cason is. I had been on his band-wagon the whole year but after the Oregon game, It was official.
4. Jammal Charles- Fast, can catch, would simply solve our problem of not being able to run. Heck this guy can run for 200 in the 4th quarter b/c of his speed and playmaker Ability. The best thing is, he will probabally go in the second round.
5. Colt Brennan- Mike Martz best friend. They must be related in some way. We won't draft him though b/c of Stanton
6. Mike Hart- Speed is questionable but he runs harder than anyone is college football. His legs are always moving allowing him to run over people. He would be #3 if he was a little faster.
So heres how I would draft for the Lions this year
1st- McFadden
2nd- Brennan
...Considering that we won't have a high enough pick or won't trade up to get McFadden.
1st- Laurinatis
2nd- Brennan
Or we could trade down and take Brennan/Charles and then have an extra pick. I'm am pretty much sold on Brennan though.
