A. has a history of fumbling problems
B. Struggles in the red zone
C. doesn't run downhill.
He has great talent, but needs to be used correctly and is not an every down back.

Charles best situation IMO would be in NY with Jacobs
With Charles, you may just be getting another Tatum Bell

I think he would be used very well in Detroit. They will probabally keep the spread offense and it will spread the defenders out so he can use his speed in the middle.

If he does turn out to be a "not every down back" he actually would remind me of Reggie Bush.
Yea he would be a pretty good fit in NY or Tennessee with Lendale White.

Charles could be an every down back. Especially if he goes to NY with Jacobs, he could be a Ronnie Brown type back, but the problem is we'd need Coughlin there to have Charles be effective, because he could help Charles with his fumbling issues just like he did with Tiki. Jacobs could most certainly teach him to be a downhill runner in the redzone. He'd be best in NY.

its funny you say Bush because in 05, Charles was keeping pace with Bush. An every down back needs to be able to turn it on in the red zone and I don't see it from him - tatum bell is a great possible comparison

Nah, he will produce alot more than Bell and will be an every down back. I just compare him to Bush b/c he put up Amazing numbers in college but couldn't really convert it over to the NFL but both will eventually produce in the NFL.

Bush will never be a HOF back, Charles with the right coaching could be.

i don't see it, that's why I have him ranked as low as I do coming out, #9 right now. It could be higher depending upon who stays in school.
