Ray shines again
The Edmonton Eskimo quarterback Ricky Ray was named the CFL Offensive Player of the Week for week six, the club announced today.
Ricky Ray was one of the biggest stars of the game completing 23 of 30 attempted passes for a total of 392 yards and 2 touchdowns. His rushing game was also top notch as he rushed for 18 yards and 2 touchdowns as the Eskimos went on the beat the Lions 35-24. Currently, Ray is 139/210 for the season throwing for 1,953 yards and eight touchdowns with only three interceptions. He has also run the ball 31 times for 113 yards and two touchdowns. Ray has a passer efficiency of 102.8.
Kamau Peterson gets another honorable mention for being the runner up for the Canadian Player of the Week. Peterson made a huge 21-yard catch on the ensuing Eskimo drive after Bradley Robinson's interception. He completed two other receptions for a total of 66 yards.
