A Humble Request
This has nothing to do with this year what so ever, or how it eneded...
That being said, I would greatly appreciate being able to run the league next year. I was in another league, it had a lot of great things in it, mianly around turn overs, miles stones and things like this. It had high scores, there were a lot of different things to consider when picking your team and the team make ups were a little different as well. There was 1 QB, 1 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, and 3 Flex Slots, 1 kicker, 1 D... It was the three flex slots that made for the most interesting team formations.
Fumbles lost, interceptions all had strong penalties, yet after 100 yards of rushing, and 200 yards of passing, there were huge bonuses as well...

To be honest I like the idea of more flex spots.
Does it also give points to punt/kick returners?

If I'm not mistaken, it can... And defences always get special team point for returns...

Hey guys,
So, we aren't even into the pre-season yet and already I've got us pre-registered for the league. I've gone ahead and tried to contact Neder to see if he can hand over the reings to me so I don't have to redo the league, but I'm more then happy to start it over again from scratch if need be.
A couple of things to keep in mind:
1. I'm not chasing people to join this year... It leads to dead teams.
2. I'm going to have an approval system in place for trades so trades aren't onesided.
3. I'm also going to try and get us a transaction system as well for free agency so you can't just add drop at will. A 100 credit purse will be in place, with trades costing 3 and F/A pick ups costing 5.
As for scoring, well it'll be a bit different then in years past.
Earlier in this thread there are a few examples. Here are the highlights:
Default NFL-Managed Scoring Settings
OFFENSE
•Passing Yards: 2 point per 25 yards passing
•Passing Touchdowns: 6 points
•Passes of 35+ yards: 3 points
•Interceptions: -6 points
•Rushing Yards: 1 point per 10 yards
•Rushing Touchdowns: 6 points
•Runs of 25+ yards: 3 points
•Receiving Yards: 1 point per 10 yards
•Receiving Touchdowns: 6 points
•Receptions of 35+ yards: 3 points
•2-Point Conversions: 4 points
•Fumbles: -4 points
•Fumbles Lost: -6 points
KICKING
•PAT Made: 2 point
•FG Made (0-44 yards): 3 points
•FG Made (45+ yards): 5 points
DEFENSE TEAM
•Sacks: 3 point
•Interceptions: 4 points
•Fumbles Recovered: 4 points
•Safeties: 6 points
•Defensive Touchdowns: 6 points
•Kick and Punt Return Touchdowns: 7 points
•Points Allowed (0-3): 10 points
•Points Allowed (3-7): 7 points
•Points Allowed (8-13): 4 points
•Points Allowed (14-20): 1 points
•Points Allowed (21-27): -1 points
•Points Allowed (28-34): -4 points
•Points Allowed (35-42): -7 points
•Points Allowed (42+): -10 points
The importance is being placed on defense and defensive plays... The addition of three flex spots (RB/WR/TE) will mean that teams can more or less make up what ever kind of offense they want to see... If the scoring for something like this was done in a traditional way, it would be too much. But since there is a lot of risk reward in the scoring, it should make for some really good matches and highlight the parts of the game that fantasy leagues often forget about.
