'07 All Time NFL Draft Selection Thread
Okay guys, make your selections here ONLY. All discussion should be kept out of this thread. The draft is Serpentine style and The position requirements are:
Offense:
1 QB, 1,2 HB, 1 FB, 2,3 WR, 1 TE, 1 C, 2 OT, 2 OG. Specify Tackles and Guards please
Defense: (depends on which scheme you go with)
2 DE(R,L), 1 NT or 2 DT, 1 or 2 MLB, 2 OLB(specify), 2 CB, 2 Safeties- also one K and one P
Note: You cannot draft more than the requirement, IE, you can't draft more than one QB.
You will be given 4 hours to pick, with a down time between 12 A.M. ET to 10 A.M. ET. You CAN pick during that time if you're on the clock though. Also, If you're worried that you can't make your pick on time, PLEASE make a list to pm to someone that can make a pick for you in your absence. This will help keep the draft smooth so please consider it. If you miss a pick, you can make that pick anytime afterward, but you will be automatically skipped in the following rounds until you make up the pick that you missed. There are 25 rounds total, and i will regularly updated this post so come here to find clarifications and who's on the clock. By entering into this draft, you agree to give 3,000 points, rep, and a gift to the winner(because you're a nice guy, right?) Good luck guys!

I wrote all of our names down on little pieces of paper, put them in a hat, closed my eyes and snatched. I actually would have prefered your spot honestly, two consecutive picks will get you a great QB and HB at the least. From now on though, let's keep this stuff in the discussion thread and leave this for picks.

I'm here but need 5 to 10 minutes to select. Haven't done one of these in a while so I need to refresh my memory of some things...
I don't like picking this high, because it's too early for an elite defensive player while I'm pretty much forced to select a great QB or HB - which both have excellent depth at the positions. So I decided to go with the best overall running back and most dominant player of all-time:
HB (he should have HB and FB eligibility, I'll take him at the half) Jim Brown

Brown was more than just a one-of-a-kind running back. He caught passes, returned kickoffs, and even threw three touchdown passes. His 12,312 rushing yards and 15,459 combined net yards put him in a then-class by himself. Jim was a unanimous first-team All-NFL pick eight times, 1957 through 1961, 1963-1965. He played in nine Pro Bowls in nine years and was the game’s outstanding back three times. He closed out his career with a three-touchdown outburst in the 1966 Pro Bowl.
Brown was unanimously named the Rookie of the Year in 1957. He was recognized that season as the NFL’s Most Valuable Player by many media organizations. In all, he earned league MVP honors four times (1957, 1958, 1963, and 1965). At Syracuse University, Brown was All-America in both football and lacrosse and a letterman in basketball. Jim selected football as his career sport, however, and thus became the Cleveland Browns' number 1 draft pick in 1957. Even though coach Paul Brown was traditionally reluctant to use rookies as regulars, Jim Brown was a regular and a star from day one.
In the summer of 1966, Jim stunned the sports world with his announcement that he was retiring. Fans still ponder what heights he might have reached had he stayed on the firing line a few more seasons. As exceptional as Brown's statistics were, his durability may have been even more amazing. Despite a constant pounding from defenses always stacked against him personally, he never missed a game in nine years.?

Actually i screwed up, and meant to say 12:19 P.M., cause the clock doesn't run from midnight to 10 in the morning seeing as people usually aren't active. Hammer can pick anytime this morning, but Grunt won't be on till 12:19 this afternoon. Sorry about the mixup
