I do both, I do a draft league with my friends, and then I will have a salary cap team on the side. Salary cap league are great for trying to gauge if a player is Under valued/overvalued. Getting certain players cheap when you know their price is gonna skyrocket IMO is pretty cool. But the salary cap game is so impersonal, you can have the same players as the people in your league, thats why, me and my friends do a draft league. I should also add that the Salary Cap game is the easiest to make money

my ratings:
QB:
9/10...great starter and decent backup
RB:
8/10...i am a huge fan of Larry Johnson, but w/o Richardson i'm not sure if he will produce as much(he should still do good). brown is good and benson has some potential
WR:
8/10...Chad and Randy are both studs. i dont think Walker will have much productivity
TE:
5/10...Smith is decent, but he isnt anything special
K:
kickers are too inpredictable to grade

This what I am think about doing, want to get some input first before I pull the trigger.
Drop C. Johnson, Pick up either Burleson, Matt Jones, or Mark Clayton at about 1.5mil each
then
Drop Benson, and Pick up LT.
I have about 2 mil in cap room right now, so I could fit this in. And if I do pul the trigger, which of those 3 recivers should I pick up

i wouldn't do it. Chad is a stud. IMO, LT will start to dramatically slow down very soon. he has taken alot of beatings over the years and is on the downside of his career
none of those other WRs are really going to do much...and Benson might become the starter in Chicago

Randy was a stud. He's killed me the last 2 years. He has been my WR keeper, but I'm cutting his *** this year and keeping Chad. Hopefully Palmer is recovering nicely.

he only struggled in recent years because of injuries. but if the choice is between Chad and Randy, Chad is the better choice

Elvis Presley has only struggled breathing in recent years because of being dead. The fact remains he's still struggling to breath no matter what the reason.
