... No.

Daunte Culpepper was the highest scoring player in this league last year. Period. Yes, above Peyton Manning. He was not going to be available. You wouldn't believe the "DAMNIT!" yells after we took him. Everyone wanted him.

well you have to give us the specifics on roster positions and scoring if you want good feedback, otherwise we say stuff like we did. you didn't tell us he was the #1 scorer in your league last year.

you also said that passing TDs are worth only 3, leading me to believe that QBs wouldn't be worth as much, let alone be the #1 overall scorer.

HOW MUCH QUARTERBACKS SCORE HAS VERY LITTLE TO DO WITH THEIR VALUE.

It's all relative. Its the difference between players of the same position that assign value.

Whether you score 10 points per passing touchdown, 6 points per passing touchdown, or 3 points per passing touchdown, it doesn't change the value of the quarterbacks in question.

IE

Culpepper is no more valuable than Drew Brees in a league that scores 6 points per passing td than he would be in a league where as he scores 3. Why? Because each quarterback's point value goes up the same percentage.

Value Based Drafting Is Your Friend.

but in a league where QBs are worth double points, you wouldn't pick 3 RBs to start off, it would be in your best interest to get as good a QB as possible. because while the ratio of one QB to another would be the same, the points difference would be different.

No.

That doesn't matter at all. Quarterbacks value does not change with the scoring system unless it would change to favor a certain stat that other quarterbacks can't compete with. I could link you to the VBD explaination if you want. I don't have time right now to really go into why you are wrong.

it depends on how big the difference is. i'm in one league where good QBs are worth 100+ points a game and RBs are only worth at best 40. the difference between a top-5 QB and anyone lower than that could end up being as big a difference as the entire RBposition.

He was, due to the yardage he put up. He also had a good number of rushing yards.
