I really wasn't expecting to be drafting another team this year, but I ended up pretty much having to. My Step-Mom called me mid-way through the day and said that she joined an office league with a bunch of the guys at work because they needed an extra team to have an even amount. It was pretty obvious to me that they were just trying to get a 'sucker', so I decided that I'd help her draft a team. Anyway, the results came out pretty well, I think.

The scoring system was a bit different than other leagues I'm in which somewhat changed how I drafted. For example, passing touchdowns are worth only 3 points compared to running touchdowns being worth 6. Although I feel that is made up when you look at the fact that regardless of what position your player is, when he reaches a 25-yard mark in a game, you get 1 point - then an EXTRA point for each 100-yards, meaning 5 total points per 100 yards.

Starting roster requirements:
- QB
- RB
- RB
- WR
- WR
- TE
- K
- DEF

We got pick 4 of 12. I normally hate picking at the top unless I'm #1 or #2 because it just seems that so much is gone before you're able to pick again... Here's the team I drafted... (Tomlinson, Alexander, Holmes went 1-2-3).

------------------

QB
- Daunte Culpepper (round 1)
- J.P. Losman (round 14)

RB
- Rudi Johnson (round 2)
- Mike Anderson (round 4)
- Travis Henry (round 11)

WR
- Torry Holt (round 3)
- Roy Williams (round 5)
- Isaac Bruce (round 6)
- Eric Moulds (round 10)
- Mark Clayton (round 13)
- Reggie Williams (round 15)

TE
- L.J. Smith (round 9)
- Marcus Pollard (round 12)

Team Defense
- Buffalo Bills (round 7)

K
- Sabastian Janikowski (round 8)

------------------

I feel that I ended up with the best team possible given the pick that I had. I was absolutely shocked to see that Rudi Johnson fell to the end of round 2 like that, especially when guys like Trent Green, Ahman Green, Kerry Collins and Dominick Davis were taken before him (the league gives negative points for INT's and fumbles lost). I took Rudi Johnson with my second pick because I saw that he was the best guy left on someone else's list that would be picking between then and my next pick. There weren't many other running backs left, so I jumped at the opportunity.

The truly shocking thing to me, however, was that TORRY HOLT was left there for me in the THIRD ROUND at pick 28 overall. That's ridiculous to me. Again, I jumped at the opportunity. I wanted my round 4 pick to be Tony Gonzalez, but that didn't pan out. In fact, Gonzalez, Gates, and Witten were all gone before it got back to me, so I decided to just pass on my TE's until later rounds, hoping that one of the 'sleeper' TE's would fall to me (I consider L.J. Smith to be a sleeper, and I took him after everyone else had already picked TE's).

... So, what do ya' think? I think it turned out REALLY well for a 12-team league. I'd like to have more depth at RB and a top-3 TE, but I couldn't pass on the opportunity to take Torry Holt in round 3.

in a 12-team league at the early spots it is essential to take a RB with your first pick. another QB would have been there for you in the third or even 4th round of a quality not far behind culpepper...who i can't believe you took ahead of manning. it's a solid team but the #4 spot in a 12 team league is my favorite position and you ****ed it royally. you could have had a dominant team but instead you have a solid one.

lewis was a gamble, i admit. i coulda taken one of many safe choices, but since the league was built around me vs. you i decided to pin my hopes on my team.

i think he'll have a huge year. he and LT are gonna be in the tops of the league for rushing yardage...LT will get him overall though cause of his ability out of the backfield and TDs. kinda worried about jamal's TDs this year with so many tall options in the endzone.

I hope your right, but I'm not at all worried about the prospect of the Ravens "throwing for too many touchdowns".

Glad you decided to help them out.
