whats this salary cap league about

Any non-rookie free agent gets put in a pool. All the teams bid on the players in increments of $250,000 at an annual auction. You have a salary cap of 83 million. You can spread the contracts out up to ten years any way you want but each year you have to be under the cap and at the end of the contract the money has to be paid.
The league also has a draft in addition to the veteran free agent auction, the 7 round rookie draft. These players are assigned a total salary value based on round and position but you can again spread that out any way you want.
It’s a 61 man league. 53 man active roster, and 8 man practice squad. Uses all positions; you have QB, RB, WR, TE, OT, OG, C, DE, DT, OLB, MLB, SS, FS, CB, K, P. Kick and Punt returners have to be found on your roster, that is the only position that you don’t start but you do still get credit if you have it.
It’s very involved, very much for the hardcore. Myself, I view any redraft league as just “practice” for this one. This is where it takes the skill. Going this deep. I’m sick.
I could send you our rules in Word and even my Roster/Salary cap breakdown in Excel if your interested in doing something like this. The rules have everything step by step how to set such a league up.
