RB @ #6 even if he is the 5th rated running back on the board and sitting behind say LT? Over Mario Williams or any of the other players at the top of their posistions? You nucking futs dude ...

I need a back but I can't just derail my team to get a marginally good backup. That's counter productive to say the least.

These are the ones that I see as possible RB#3's. Not hte greatest choices but if I could pick up two of these ...

Mike Anderson
Marion Barber III
Ron Dayne
Greg Jones
Thomas Jones
Willie Parker
Chester Taylor

I would hop on the Ron Dayne bandwagon if the price is right.

The name I like most on that list is Thomas Jones actually. Ron Dayne is interesting but will he be the starter? Will Bell be ahead of him? Will they draft a back?

I'd wait to see if they draft a back, but Ron Dayne should come in and fill Mike Anderson's role from last year.

Dayne and Tatum Bell should coexist very nicely like Bell and Anderson did last year. Very similar situation.

Of course drafting a back on the first day could ruin all that.

But yes Thomas Jones would be a great pickup, I just figured that...

a. it would cost you more since he is a bigger name and is a returning starter
b. who knows what might go on with Cedric Benson who played well for a stretch till getting hurt.

Yeah, its all relative to what the market says he's worth. Jones could be a very good rb3 though. That's solid. What I'm worried about is I have a feeling that Jones will get the teir one tag on him and if I take him I would lose my #6 overall and I'm not sure that I would want to do that.

I would not give up your #6 for Jones either.

With Cedric Benson there I won't. Even if I have to take a step back this year because of my running backs I will. This league will be around 6, 8, 10 years from now. I can't be short sighted.

Whats the deal with Marion Barber? Is he the starter or backup in big D?

I will most likely make a run at Mike Anderson and Ron Dayne and hope that one of them can be a possible #3.

With a healthy Julius Jones Barber is a backup, but who knows if JJ will ever be healty for a year.
