depends on how your league scores for rushing and passing.
10 yards per point? 4 yards per touchdown? in that case, i'd go with young.
if it's 6 points per touchdown toss, maybe go with rivers as a safer bet.
however, you gotta love those rushing stats if you get scored for that. also, rivers can throw it to gates but i'd be worried in crunch time, lt gets the hand off.
rivers seems like the easy initial choice, but fantasy wise last year (i know he had a good year in real life) vince young was kinda bad. 12 tds to 13 picks. he may not look like peyton this year but i think he'll do better than that.
rivers on the other hand, had a damn good initial outing. 22 picks for 9 ints. 3388 yards. i just can't see him going higher than that, not when they'll just be passing to the same amount of guys, handing off to lt, and playing with a lead alot of the time. i can see him duplicating this season give or take but not playing above and beyond it.
keep in mind, with this bad fantasy season young had, and the good season rivers had, young was still only worth 6 points less in standard scoring leagues. point is, if you think young is going to maybe throw 15 tds to 12 picks even, and rush for the same amount of yards, i'd take him. also remember jeff fisher, as bad as it's been now, has in the past liked to give his quarterbacks weapons. not superstars, but enough consistent guys who can stretch the field.
also, it'd be wise to look into how well white or brown can pass block. henry is gone now and that might be bad.
