A few things about the league. Its a money KEEPER league that started last year 2006. The winner takes home $500, and the runner up about $200. Each transaction of a drop, trade, waiver etc cost $1. The keeper system is different them usually keeper leagues that I have been in. The first column is the round they were drafted in 2006. The 2nd column is the round in which you woud lose a pick in 2007 for that certain player.

A few things you should know. Anybody drafted from rounds 1 - 3 can not be kept as a keeper. I would like opinions in what draft philosphy should I take. Please look below the copy of last year draft to see rest of topic. We start the following - QB, RB, RB, WR/TE, WR/TE, WR/TE, DL, LB, DB, K with a bench of 9. I had the 3rd overall pick in 2006 in a 10 team league. I missed the playoffs by a game, due to a weak group of WR's. I will have the right to choose the 6th overall pick or move down if i want to 7 thur 10. I can choose to keep up to 4 players. I was thinking keeping 3.

ROUND 1 0 LADANIAN TOMLINSON (RB)
ROUND 2 0 CARSON PALMER (QB)
ROUND 3 0 CHRIS CHAMBERS (WR/TE)
ROUND 4 1 THOMAS JONES (RB)
ROUND 5 2 KEVIN JONES (RB)
ROUND 6 3 JOE JUREVICIUS (WR/TE)
ROUND 7 4 DREW BLEDSOE (QB)
ROUND 8 5 BRIAN URLACHER (LB)
ROUND 9 6 ADRIAN WILSON (DB)
ROUND 10 7 CEDRIC BENSON (RB)
ROUND 11 8 CHRIS COOLEY (WR/TE)
ROUND 12 9 KEYSHAWN JOHNSON (WR/TE)
ROUND 13 9 GREG JENNINGS (WR/TE) <---TRADED AWAY
ROUND 14 9 ANTONIO BRYANT (WR/TE)
ROUND 15 9 TERRELL SUGGS (DL)
ROUND 16 9 NICK BARNETT (LB)
ROUND 17 9 VINCE YOUNG (QB)
ROUND 18 9 JAY FEELY (K)
ROUND 19 9 MARCEDES LEWIS (WR/TE)
Gained via trade Jerricho Cotchery (WR/TE)

I pickd up Travis Henry via the waivers, he would equal a 19th round pick.

A) Do I keep the 6th overall pick, or do I move down the line to 7 thur 10. For the quick double up in 2nd.

B) I was planning on keeping RB) Cedric Benson, QB) Vince Young, RB) Travis Henry which would be considered my 7th, 8th & 9th round selections. Now I was hurting last year with WR's. What 3 players would you keep from the 2006 draft list above, keeping in mind LT, Palmer, & Chambers cant be kept.

C) If I went with the above keepers that means I already would have a RB, RB, QB. Now which route would you go in the draft. 1st RB, 2nd RB, 3rd WR, 4th WR, 5th WR or 1st RB, 2nd WR, 3rd WR, 4th WR? or RB?, 5th WR or RB? Which of those to makes more sense.

My thought was to keep Benson, Henry, & Young. Go with a RB at 6th overall, but not sure who? Parker, is 6th to early for Bush? That would give me Benson, Henry & 6th overall pick at RB. Then go with the top WR with my 2nd & 3rd round picks for certain. Trying to net any of these WR's in this order Harrison, Owens, C. Johnson, Wayne, Moss.

What are your thought about that philosphy? Would It still be in my best interest to go RB RB with Keepers of Benson & Henry.

i'm betting most people will also be keeping RBs, so it can't hurt to go RB-RB with your first two picks if the talent is there.

If the talent is there, RB and RB like Lego said.

Based on the keeper rules, you know the talent will be there. RB, RB.

Thanks for the replies. Do you think it would be wise to stay at 6, or move down to 8 thru 10. If I should stay at 6. Who would be the few RB's that would be worthy of going that early, but not reaching on.
