I think alot of that is coaching. I mean the cards do have a couple talented players on that OL (L. Brown, Lutui, E. Brown) and now have a OL coach that should get them to play at a high level.

Obviously the steelers had a much better defense, but the cards defense has some pretty good young players who should be starting to get it.
The interior of the DL should be pretty dangerous (Dockett, Branch, Watson, Clancy), and if Berry can come back 100%, they could have a pretty good pass rush, which in turn should make the young secondary look alot better.

I doubt they get to the steelers level this year, but they should be much improved, and with that offense, i could see them playing with a lead more than people think.

not to mention willie parker is a guy who can't get yardage against tough run defenses.

I think thats because he more a speed RB than a guy who is going to be physical and break tackles, which is something James was great at in Indy

Which means Kitna has no where to go but up.
Eh, Brady might be, but they're going to run behind Maroney a lot too, so I put him in the usual 5-10 area.
Romo is garbage.

Yeah, LJ, only ran for 1,800 yards, 17 TDs behind an aging, declining Chiefs line
Alexander will tear it up again this year, in all honesty, if you get him where I have him ranked, or 6th overall even, you'll be getting the steal of the entire draft IMO
Yeah McGahee, a guy that has a career TD total of 24, and a YPC average 3.9. He really deserves to be in the top 10 . Maybe by the end or even middle of the season, but not right now. He's a good backup RB at best for fantasy league as of now.

On the bench behind LT.

And you and I have to have the same list?

Andre Johnson isn't that good of a fantasy WR, he never scores a lot of TDs. He's more of a physical specimen. He doesn't deserve to be in the top 10. Torry is getting older, and he's got to share the ball with 4-5 other guys, in an offense that is becoming a run first offense.

Not on the list.

You can do that then... But that last pick will be a mistake

McGahee has been missing for the past two years.

how is he garbage, i dont get it. the guy had a 100+ rating in more games than 95% of the qbs even though he started only 11 games

it doesnt matter what he did in the past. thats why *******es drafted shaun alexander last year because of the great year he had in 05. roaf is gone, shields is gone and their RT (turley) is gone as well. but go ahead, draft him no.1 if you think hes that awesome, so i can laff at you during the regular season

what does that have to do with anything. the guy had over 500yds last year and he will get even more playing time this year. plus he returns kicks as well. plus if LT gets hurt this guy is going to rush for lots of yds and TDs, just like LJ when priest holmes got hurt

he will put great numbers. not because he is so amazing but because of their offense. ****in mike furrey almost led the league in receptions, he had over 1000 rec. yds and scored 6 tds.

He was overrated the entire year, just like Young was. He's considered the franchise QB in Dallas now, but so was Drew Henson and Quincy Carter.

First off, if Alexander doesn't get injured last year, he still puts up at least 1,400 yards and 12+ TDs. You make it sound like Alexander sucks. By the way, by the way it's sounding, it's not even looking like LJ will be in Kansas City next year.

Ok? What's this got to do with the Ravens and McGahee? He's suddenly going to explode and be a top 10 fantasy back because he has a mediocre line instead of a below average-average one?

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Makaveli @ Jun 26th ) </div>

It has to do with a lot. I agree that he'll get some touches this year, but potentially, unlike the other 5 backs, it's still not enough to garner a #1 or even #2 back in your league. LT never gets hurt, and I don't expect him to this year.

Say what you want, but even with that poor OL and outdated offensive scheme, Edge still rushed for almost 1200 yards

This year he Ken Whisenhunt takes over, and he knows about resurrecting a poor running game. When he took over the steelers offense, they were 32nd in the NFL in rushing, the next year they were #2. He also helped take Willie Parker from an UDFA to pro bowl rusher. Im sure he can use some of his magic on a back as talented as edge

Whisenhunt also brought Russ Grimm with him, who is one of the better OL coaches in the NFL and they gave him a franchise right tackle (the RT is more important to them since Leinart is left handed) to work with.

Not to mention that with leinart being more experienced, the defenses will HAVE to respect the passing game more this year which should open up the running game

But yeah, i guess you guys are right, he had a down year so he sucks

Good post. Plus, look at Edge's rushing numbers from the 2nd half of last year compared to the 1st. He'll do well this year.

Yeahthat. That was the only real issue that I had. IMHO Portis is still at worst just outside the top five. He was having a good season and got hurt. An injury that shouldn't be an issue this year. Why is he all of a sudden not an RB1?

I'll take Gore, Alexander, Travis Henry and Willie Parker all over Larry Johnson....

In a heartbeat.

Here's five reasons why....

1. Larry said something about preparing to holdout, correct? "He's got money stashed"....

2. He took a BEATING last year en route to 416 carries....They'll spell him more with Bennett.

3. Their line took another hit when Shields retired. They're starting that piece of **** Damion McIntosh at LT and Chris Terry at RT....Waters wasn't nearly as good as he has been in past years...

4. They face pretty good run defenses consisting of Chicago, Minnesota, San Diego x2, Oakland x2, Denver x2, and Jacksonville this year....

5. Trent Green is gone....Teams will catch on to Huard's tendencies.

Just say no to Larry Johnson, at least in your top 5 picks....
