My first fantasy draft ever, 12 teams i picked 7th overall, Palmer 1st overall and was able to get Harrison in the second. The only weakness is my RBs.

Starters:

QB Carson Palmer
RB Thomas Jones
RB Cadillac Williams
WR Marvin Harrison
WR Mark Clayton
WR Isaac Bruce
TE Vernon Davis
K Adam Vinatieri
DST Ravens

Bench:

QB Steve McNair
RB Michael Turner
WR Anthony Gonzalez
TE Randy McMichael
DST Raiders

Usually picking a quarterback in the first round ruins your chances and it might have for you. There is potential at running back but it all depends on Caddy getting his wheels back.

Why didn't you pick a RB in the first 2? No RB = No championship.

You have to get at least 1 RB in the first 2, and Palmer was way too early at #7, that being said, you could do worse than Jones and Williams as your 3rd and 4th picks

The first time is a learning experience and I've seen much worse than that but there are a couple things to keep in mind for next time.

1. Like everyone is saying, RBs are the lifeblood of any successful fantasy football team. It's a matter of scarcity. There are only 32 teams in the league, not all of which have a single back that will get enough carries to warrant using as a starter. Since you need to start two, there won't be enough to go around so you need to get them early, which is what most people in any competent draft will try to do.

2. Since most people will concentrate on RBs early, there's no reason to blow an early pick on a QB or WR. They'll still be there later so scoop up RBs while you still can. The only QB worthy of a first rounder is Peyton and that's only if it's late in the round and no RB has fallen farther than is reasonable. You can always get a quality starting QB in rounds 4-7 so there's no need to reach. You can always find an elite WR in round 3 as well.

3. Rookie WR? Throw him back. Randy Moss was the exception. Most of them don't produce useful numbers and, even when they do, they're still no better than loads of WRs who likely went undrafted.

4. Depth. My God, man! One backup RB who doesn't even start on his own team just isn't enough. You really don't need to carry a second D, especially when your first one is as good as the Ravens. I would use that spot for another RB. I don't like carrying two TEs either unless I have to.

I'd probably replace everyone on your bench with the exception of McMichael and only because Vernon Davis is unproven.

Like Hordak said...You need to get some depth....
