12 team league. Right now I have the option for the 8th, 9th or 11th pick.

I'm thinking about trading the 8th pick to the guy that has the 3rd pick for his 2nd (22) and 3rd (27) and I would throw in my 6th.

My reasoning is - the only guy I really like at 8, who I doubt will still be on the board is Westbrook. Although I like Rudi and Maroney, I'm don't think I'm willing to take Maroney in the first and I think there would be a ton of value if I had 2 2nd's and 2 3rd's.

Hopefully something like this would play out with my picks:

Steve Smith (2nd)
Thomas Jones (2nd)
Edge (3rd) or Marshawn Lynch
Roy Williams (3rd)
Carson Palmer (4th)

Looking at the current ADP's out there - this really isn't far fetched at all.

Any opinions?

Would Addai be there at 8 or 9?

Palmer usually goes in the 3rd. the rest looks pretty reasonable.

i just don't see the value in dropping a top-10 player. that 6th rounder you're giving away will be a perfectly solid QB, but you can't replace whoever you're giving away in the first with the late second rounder.

Just ran a mock draft with this trade in mind (I ran it with two teams), my lineup is -

T Brady
C Pennington (same bye)

T Jones
B Jacobs
V Morency
D Foster
L Washington

Chad Johnson
L Evans
J Cotchery
G Jennings
M Furrey

J Shockey

PHI

Akers

---------------

I kind of like this team but I still don't know if it's worth losing the 8th pick over. My backfield could have looked like -

Willie Parker/Rudi Johnson
Thomas Jones

though I wouldn't have Chad Johnson.

Still on the fence here.

Please explain -

I think I know where you're coming from but the temptation of 2 picks in the 2nd and 2 picks in the 3rd is tough for me to overcome.

Personally,

I like that team I drafted.
