Joe Namath??? are you kidding me? hes more famous for his prediction that for anything he has done on the field. he has more INTs (220) than TDs (173) and barely completed 50% of his passes! that and his QB rating was a mere 65.5

lol, i had a feeling he wouldn't last. Dude was a SICK blocker and a damn good pass catcher when he was asked to be. I probably need to work on my D now too, heh.

I shut the run down, now ill lock your best wr up and beat the hell out of him with Mel Blount.
Tell me you dont hear this man:
Quote:
|
A Pro Scouts All-America as both a safety and cornerback at Southern University, Blount became a starter in the Steelers secondary beginning in 1972. That season, he didn’t allow a single touchdown. A fixture at right cornerback, Mel was equally effective playing either zone or man-to-man defense. Known for his rugged but clean style of play, his specialty was the “bump-and-run” pass defense. Because of his size and speed, he literally overpowered pass receivers.

Blount, who was named the NFL's most valuable defensive player in 1975 by the Associated Press, earned all-pro acclaim in 1975, 1976, 1977 and 1981. He also was a four-time All-AFC selection and played in five Pro Bowls.
