yeah he cant complain, in the end i figured that Bart Starr was chosen in the 1st round. essentially it gives me 2 1st round picks. i wanted either Jim Taylor or Ray Nitchske. that didnt happen so i just decided to go with Bart Starr who was a more efficient version of Griese.

im not sure if you guys agree but Hammer has Don Shula has his HC, even though he coached from 1963 to 1969 with the Colts he also coached 1970 to 1995. most of his coaching came after the set deadline of 1971thats why i didnt draft him to be my HC.

The only restriction is that they start before 71. If we based it on number of years played before that time then over a dozen players would have to be dropped from rosters. I get where you're coming from, but most of the head coaches chosen had their biggest success in the 70's. Noll, Landry, Shula, Stram. They coached for so long that their tenures kind of make the 71 rule look a little dumb, but i think we should hold to it this year for coaches.
