Javon Walker: Demands Out of Green Bay
Javon Walker: Demands Out of Green Bay
RotoWire.com Staff - RotoWire.com
Sunday, March 26, 2006
Update: Walker, who missed last season after undergoing knee surgery, is demanding to be traded and threatening to retire at age 27, the Houston Chronicle reports.
Recommendation: Walker is putting his house on the market and not planning to play the last year of his five-year contract. The Packers insist they aren't going to trade Walker, who fired agent Drew Rosenhaus and replaced him with Kennard McGuire.

Walker has been treated badly by the packers and with the way things are going im not surprised he wants out. I dont know what team whould want to give him what hes worth though hes coming off a injury that has put more then a few athletes out for good, and most teams that wanted a number 1 or 2 wide out already picked them up.

he is stuck, he deserves more than he is getting and less than what he wants. He only has had one real good season to his credit so he really doesn't have any room to be demanding anything. I think he is stupid to retire, so I am sure that it is just a ploy. My guess is that he'll be in camp and play this year, but no matter what, barring a miracle, IMO, he will be on another team in two seasons.

If he's not making enough, how does he have enough to retire? That's an empty threat if there ever was one. He's a great reciever but not worth this amount of trouble.

Saying he was going to retire was worthless, but that said the Packers might as well start looking for a trade because if he is still on the roster come spring training i think he will just hold out.
