Fantasy Sports Leagues, Games and News at Fanball.com

The News
The Packers still have interest in Randy Moss, but would likely need the wide receiver to take a significant pay cut if he were to come to Green Bay. The Packers are only interested in trading for Moss if the former all-pro wide receiver would agree to a restructured contract to play with Brett Favre. Sources close to the situation said the Packers had explored trading for Moss, but the Milwaukee Journal reports the Packers consider Moss to be an economically unfeasible option at this time.

Our View
Randy has made no bones about wanting out of Oakland, but it appears he may have to be willing to sacrifice monetarily to get his wish. The Raiders had previously maintained a third-round pick and a wide receiver would be enough for them to pull the trigger, but now things are getting more complex. This will continue to be a hot topic, but in addition to any actual trade, Randy would also need to be willing to part with some serious cash if he hopes to play in Green Bay.

Like I said in the other thread if he does decide he really wants out and takes a pay cut I could see a lot more teams interested in aquiring him.

I can't see Moss being willing to take a pay cut, not to go to the Packers. IF it was with a serious contender, then maybe.

I can't see him wanting to go to the Packers period even if they were going to pay him his full contract.

He has always had respect for Brett and may want to play with a QB who can actually throw the ball, LOL.

But he hates contact and the cold and in Green Bay he is going to get both for about half the season. And Favre is there for two more years at the most what's he going to do after that when they don't have a quarterback to get him the ball.

add the pay cut to that and it ain't happening, or after one or two seasons with favre, he could just whine his way out of another city.

I think the biggest reason he wouldn't want to go there is the relationship with the fans there, LOL
