Driver's old, Fergy's been injured. Gardner is fine, but not fast enough. Rookie Jennings is supposed to be good, but we won't know until he plays. These guys are gonna have the potential to be amazing, but they could also really suck.

competition is a good thing and they should get 3 nice RB's out of it even if Davenport is a FB, I guess a FB like Jones was last year for Jacksonville.
Davenport is an outstanding goal line rusher and a pretty decent reciever. If they want him at FB, they need to at least get him the ball. If they do split carries between Green and Gado and have Davenport run/catch for the occasional first, that will be a pretty darn good rushing threat. It will also take a lot of pressure off of our young OL and give Favre more time to throw. Should make for a respectable offense. I just don't see it taking on the Bears' defense.

they should think about trading away Ahman Green .. they could get pretty good value from him from a team that need a RB.. like the 49ers or maybe even the Jets... Gado should be the future of this franchise.. hes too sweet.. i think if he starts he easily goes over 1,000 yrds this season.. in my opinion hes a wayy better RB than Green is right now.. Green has lost a step in his game and hasnt really produced the past 2 seasons .. i think they should give Gado a chance .. i really like this guy... he could be a very good back in the NFL ...

the niners don't need him and the jets are gonna get someone in the draft, green is going nowhere until he can prove that he is healthy again. mccarthy has already said that green is the main man.

I agree, but it won't happen unless Green can't perform this year. Right now he's only signed for one year, and Gado is signed for five. Rodgers and Gado are the future of the Pack. It just remains to be seen how fast that future comes.

He's been a 2nd RB for us.. Plow-type goal line rusher like Bettis, I didn't know he played FB before.

Yes he played FB at Maimi I think he was back there with Portis. He was used some a blocker but they found ways to get him the ball. In a Pro set with split backs it would be hard to tell what side they would run on. however without any OL help it does not matter if you lined all three of them up back there.

Gado got it done with no OL. All three of them would be great. We've also done a bit to address the OL failures by drafting a bunch of them and changing the blocking schemes. Now we just have to see if it will work or not.
