Favre to miss next minicamp
He denies asking Packers for a trade, says he wants to stay

Brett Favre will not attend the Green Bay Packers' mandatory minicamp this weekend because of his daughter's upcoming graduation, he told a reporter in Mississippi on Monday.
Buy a link hereBut that does not mean Favre is holding out to force a trade. In fact, he denies ever asking for one on the Biloxi Sun Herald Web site.
"I did not say that, or anything about a possible trade," Favre told the paper.
Favre told Al Jones, a reporter from the Sun Herald, on Monday that he wouldn't be coming to camp this weekend. Favre's eldest daughter, Brittany, is graduating from high school on May 25. Favre was not expected to practice anyway because he is rehabilitating from ankle surgery.
"He's got a lot of different things going on, his daughter's graduation and stuff like that," Jones told the Journal Sentinel. "His being frustrated, and not going, are not related. (It was) because of Brittany's graduation and banquets and things like that. And the fact that he wouldn't be doing anything in minicamp. It has nothing to do with the frustration or the organization. It is not a protest move."
However, concerned over a report that Favre demanded a trade from Green Bay general manager Ted Thompson, Favre called the Green Bay public relations office Monday morning to make this statement:
