He'll outperfom Peterson. I think Peterson is the better back, but Peterson wont be used as much.

Jackson to me is a great fit for a ZB scheme, and is also a very good pass catcher out of the backfield. I think by week 1, he will be the clear starter. I think he may be a system runner, but he will be productive

Tell me one LB in the NFC North that would not love to see come across the line on a draw. That might have been the reason Briggs went ahead and resigned with the Bears just so he would not miss his shot on Farve.

That is true but also more teams will be afraid of Farve at QB than anyone the Vikings have. So Peterson will face a lot more 8 or even 9 man fronts.

I see it like this. We have some pretty lousy RBs. We also have a real solid line with ZBS though, so we don't need good RBs. Look at Denver. How many nobody RBs have they had that came out of nowhere to put up 150-yard games, then traded away to watch them suck on any team that didn't have zone block? We are in a similar position. I am not calling Morency, Herron or Jackson anything special, because they aren't. I do think that if they can hold onto the ball, they will still perform quite well though.

I'm well aware of that. That plus the injuries is making this look like another 4-12 season. That ain't all bad though, at least Thompson will finally get fired.
