The Green Bay Packers have signed running back Brandon Jackson, the team's second-round pick in the 2007 NFL Draft. Ted Thompson, Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations, announced the signing Wednesday.
Jackson, a 5-foot-10, 212-pound player from Nebraska, was an All-Big 12 selection in 2006. An early-entry candidate in the draft, Jackson amassed 1,459 all-purpose yards and 10 touchdowns as a junior.
Of the club's 11 draft choices, only first-round pick Justin Harrell and third-round selection James Jones remain unsigned.
I say eventually take over for an unimpressive morency
It seems like a lot of people are agreeing with you on that. It would be nice to see the Pack's opposing defenses bite on a play action a few times this year..

The only way that would happen is if you faked a QB Draw.

With Favre?? Are you serious?
I see it like this. We have some pretty lousy RBs. We also have a real solid line with ZBS though, so we don't need good RBs. Look at Denver. How many nobody RBs have they had that came out of nowhere to put up 150-yard games, then traded away to watch them suck on any team that didn't have zone block? We are in a similar position. I am not calling Morency, Herron or Jackson anything special, because they aren't. I do think that if they can hold onto the ball, they will still perform quite well though.

I like Jackson alot. I think OROY is gonna be between him a and Lynch. I think he will outperform Peterson

You're putting a lot more faith in him than any Pack fan, that I can tell you. I'd love to see him tear it up like Addai did last year, I just don't see it.
