Packers coach Mike McCarthy said strength and conditioning coach Rock Gullickson would spend some time with Favre to work on his conditioning. The 16-year veteran also will probably do some throwing on his property.
“He’s got a big bag of balls hanging out in his warehouse, so I think there’s a little more throwing than people think in Mississippi,” McCarthy said. “The biggest thing for him is his conditioning. Rock Gullickson is going to go down there and spend some time with him one-on-one. … I think he knows how to get ready to play a season.”
McCarthy said that Favre will be watching the cut-ups of practice film on DVD’s.
McCarthy seemed pleased with Favre’s command of the new West Coast offense and his arm strength over the course of the 14 practice, 22-day OTA period.
“He has excellent recall,” McCarthy said. “I’ve learned over the years to keep cutting it down as much as I can.
“I don’t anticipate any problems here. It’s just an old dog and new tricks. He’s done it so long one way and now we’re jolting him a little bit with some learning. I told him that I think it’s healthy for him.
“He always plays the game a certain way. As you watch him go through OTA’s, to me, you saw his arm coming around more and more. You definitely saw the ball spin off his hand with more velocity this past week.
I really don't see what the point of hyping up Favre is. This is his last year, and it's a year that we (barring major injuries to about 12 Chicago starters) will not even make the playoffs. So let him come back, and put some numbers up, and break some of Marino's records, and prove to the haters that last year wasn't his fault. That's all fine, but keep him out of the news in the meantime. I'd rather hear about Rodgers at this point.
Backup Aaron Rodgers was inconsistent running the No. 1 offense the four days Favre was absent. He also had a number of passes batted down at the line of scrimmage.

Thats what i like to hear!

Yea, I heard that the Packers coaching staff and Mangament werent too big of fans of Aaron Rodgers and how he plays... Who knows, Maybe they will trade him and get a QB in free agency like Matt Scuab or just go for one in the Draft...
Yeh they arent going to trade him any time soon. And like professor said, he hasnt he even played hardly at all.
He hasn't. But the times he has played, he resembled a typical Tedford QB, (See Carr, Dilfer, Boller, Volek, and others) and that type of player can never lead our offense, especially after years of Favre. We may have some dark days ahead...

carr hasnt done a terrible job.If he gets a good offensive line the texans may start to become contenders.
