What If Favre.....
Brett Favre has a banner year? Not a record year but finishes with a 95 or so QB rating? The offensive line keeps the seat of his pants clean. You know it is possible(but not probable)it could happen though. The Packers win the north and everybody forgets about Brett being "washed up" and says well he's back on track. He just had a bad year or two because his offensive line wasn't protecting him.
So for the sake of argument lets just say "what if". Any opinions guys?

I think you basically just said it all yourself...if he comes back and has a great year people will forget about the bad year...

i think this is a 50/50 possibility
He'd be Comeback player of the year and everyone would be happy for him
if he has a bad year, everyone will still remember him as the legend he is after a few years

It wont take a few years to remember he is a legend, he could have a worse year than last year, and he would still be one of the best QB's to ever play the game.

I tell you with all the great seasons he's had I would love to see it.
If it did happen it makes me wonder how it might change his retirement plans if any right now?

Agreed. Even I, a Vikings fan, can agree to that. He has had an impressive career and it would be nice for it to end on a great, victorious note. But if he has a bad year... well, he's through playing IMHO. Win or get out.

first off that wont happen, the packers lost there 3 best offensive linemen over the past 2 years, but even if farve once again takes an untalented packers team to the playoffs. The sports writers will expect him to retire because they never change there minds about anything. they still think michael vick is a great qb after 5 years of nothing!

Well you have to take reporters with a grain of salt. They're experts at making something out of nothing.
I differ with you on the sports writers "never changing their mind". It's been my experience that they play both sides of the fence more than anyone well maybe not reporters but I think you get the idea. JMO again
