It's still up in the air. I don't think he'll be back, but I would hope he is, just to redeem himself after the terrible season. He needs to go out like Elway went out, on top like he always has been.

Yeah hopefully he comes back and has a pretty decent season. I do not think that he will be able to go out on top like Elway. Instead, getting to the playoffs again would be a big enough accomplishment with the talent they have to work with.

He is a fun guy to watch, and hopefully he can redeem himself.

Favre has good talent around him, it's just that the Packers were destroyed by injuries last year. They lost there number 1 and 3 recievers and the lost their top three backs. Sure Gado came in and did good, but they still had to go threw three other backs to get to him. If Favre comes back he will make a run at the NFC North. and this is coming from a die hard VIKINGS fan.

It's all true. Luck was definetly NOT on our side this year. I don't blame Favre for it though, he did very well considering what he had to deal with. He and Driver were the only offensive threat for most of the season. We lost four backs to injuries including Gado, and most of our OL was lost in FA before the season started. I do think if Favre, Walker, Murphy and Longwell return, we can bounce back and be a contender. I also think that with Chicago playing so well, and the Vikings finally having a good coach AND talented players, that the North will not be an easy division at all next year though. Whoever takes it will have to fight long and hard for it.

All of the NFC at least. I also think the Bengals and Ravens won't be messing around, the Steelers are the Steelers even with Bettis retiring, and Cleveland's Romeo Crenell is the real deal. The AFC North will be impressive too. It will be a North year for everyone lol.

You've taught me something though Mickey. We can respect each others' teams even if we hate them. I had to do the same thing with Dallas all through the Aikman era too in fact...

This doesn't look good for us, but it may ultimately answer your question.

If Favre does hang it up, it seems clear to me that Aaron Rodgers is not yet ready to carry the team. Who do all of you non-Packer fans think would make a suitable successor?
