The Packers will in fact try to make a big time run at Ravens LB/DE Adalius Thomas to be a DE/LB IF the Ravens do not tag him which is still a possibility.

The Packers have indeed talked to the Broncos about a deal that would send Tatum Bell and a pick to the Packers for KGB and a pick. I got the feeling that KGB will be moved this off season so this may be the first of many KGB to (fill in the blank) rumors.

The Packers have interest in Donté Stallworth, but look for the Titans and 49ers (who I have been told view him as their top priority) to overpay for him.

New free agent La Var Arrington may be calling the Packers this time around. He was EXTREEMLEY close to signing with the Packers last season, and may have to play at a bargain price (with whom ever he signs with). Also, the Poston's have a solid working relationship with Ted Thompson.

The Packers seem to have cooled off a little on the Randy Moss deal for a couple of reasons. (1.) Al Davis is trying to mend the rift between him and the team (2.) Al Davis wants equal value (as of today) from any team wanting Moss (which means a 2nd or a 1st) and (3.) The Packers are starting to think a WR in this draft could have just as much as an impact THIS SEASON and down the road for a cheaper price.

The Packers want to re-sign Ahman Green to a cheaper (non-starter) price, but with the free agent RB market being as it is, teams like the Giants, Jets, Ravens, Oakland, Denver and the Texans seem to have ALOT of interest.

Justin Griffith, the Falcons free agent FB, is amongst the Packers top FA targets this off season.[/b]
I got this off the Orangemane, but the actual source is from some Green Bay message board.

Imagine if the Broncos did that KGB, and a pick for Tatum Bell and a pick thing? Imagine if it was swapping firsts and the Broncos grapped Lynch?

Essentially, we would have gotten KGB, Champ, and Marshawn Lynch for Clinton Portis

Imagine if one team gets screwed royally!

What makes you think TT is going to pull a stupid trade with draft picks?

Hard to predict the Moss thing from Oakland's POV, just because if there is a rift he is basically worth less to the Raiders, and it could affect his trade value. They should try and cover that up as best as possible, even if they are seeking to dish him off somewhere.

I hightly doubt that if that trade with Denver DID happen that it would involve our first round pick. The Packers will have a shot at either Lynch, Landry, or Nelson. ANY of those three would make an immediate impact for us. Also, I don't think we need Tatum Bell. I'm not that impressed with him.

I'm not sure what to think of Lavar Arrington though. Adding him to our D would look nasty on paper, but I think he'd underperform?

I still wouldn't mind adding Moss to our O. We either need him or we need to find a stud TE so we have another pass threat. Stallworth is overrated. Plus he gets injured a lot.

Resigning Green and adding Justin Griffith would be awesome! Green quietly had over a thousand yards last year coming off an injury and playing with injury. Toss Lynch in the mix and our Backs are frggin STUDS!

Adding Adalius to our D obviously would be amazing. Our only weakness's at that point would be SS and nickelback. Fix at least one or two of those in FA or the Draft and I wouldn't hesitate to say top 5 D in the league next season. No joke.

What about Nate Clements? I know he's testing FA. He'd cost a pretty penny but he's what 28? We could draft a S and have them split time at the S position. It's not hard for a CB to transition to S. He could also play nickelback and fill in on downs for Harris and Woodson to keep them fresh. Or we could rotate it anothe way with Harris or Woodson playing S. Who would be able to pass on us? Also, in a few years when either Harris or Woodson retire since they're older, Clements would just step right in.

If you resign Green, I doubt that you would take a first round RB. Also, why would Green want to resign for under starters salary when he can go someplace else and get a good chunk of change?

Yeah, you're 100% correct. I forgot he was a FA. He would be an amazing pick up too.

Why not? Look at all the other teams in the league. Rhodes/Addai, Dillon/Maroney, McCallister/Bush. All those combos are awesome! Resign Green for one year and have him and Lynch as the one-two punch. It'd be a great combo for GB! Add Griffith and our run game would be amazing. Also, I don't really think Green is that greedy of a player and he likes GB. Who knows though?
